Classic Southern Summer Wedding at Columbia Country Club

I talk a lot about how much I love heartfelt details and a nod to legacy on a wedding day. That’s because I believe weddings are partly for honoring heritage— the people and the stories that helped the bride & groom get to this point.

Mike & Madeleine believed this strongly, and it showed up in every little detail of their wedding day. From the custom crest that Madeleine (a watercolor artist) created, inspired her wedding dress, to the hydrangeas that the bridesmaids carried as a nod to the bride’s southern heritage, to the quiet moments that both bride & groom found with their families throughout the course of the day. No person overlooked, it was a simple, joyful celebration full of heart.

This wedding has been featured on Black Tie Bride and District Weddings

Of course, none of this would have been possible without this amazing team:

Bride getting ready: her home  |  Groom getting ready: Willard Intercontinental  |  Ceremony: St. Aloysius Church of Gonzaga High School  |  Reception: Columbia Country Club  |  Videographer: Jeremy Raco  |  Florist: Karen Kallmyer  |  Bridal gown: Watters  |  Bridal Boutique: Betsy Robinson’s Bridal Collection  |  Hair stylist: Jessica Kang of Lux Studios  |  Bridesmaids: J Crew  |  Band: Nightsong  |  Watercolor: Madeleine Diakiwski  |  Invitation printing: Write For You
